- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Our 18 year old cat Charlie recently took a turn for the worse on a weekend so out of necessity we called the Animal Referral Center (as recommended by our wonderful veterinarian Dr. Barker). The kitty was seen immediately and made comfortable. No complaints at all about his care - we were able to take him home with the understanding that his time was likely very short. Three weeks later - on a weekend again, our old boy got noticeably unhappy and we knew right away we had to let him go. Dr. Peters and Sydney were wonderful - caring and compassionate and we truly felt they cared about us and more importantly about the kitty. Charlie passed very peacefully in my arms. Emergency pet care is never going to be inexpensive - between the two visits we paid $900 but our old boy Charlie meant the world to us and we didn't hesitate.
